external.php ..in concrete5 ?

Hi Guys,

Its been a long time since I last used singapore, but I needed a gallery for a new website, and the client has used singapore in a past site I created for her.. so it seems the perfect choice.

I've tried to move from Joomla to concrete5 this time, and tried numerous ways to use external.php in a template by usi ng the code

Code:

<?php include "../sing/external.php"; ?>

The error I'm seeing is :

Warning: include(../sing/external.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/shellyra/public_html/themes/splashgallery/default.php on line 35

I know I can't use the full url to external.php anymore - thats just provides the default error that you can't use it that way.

I read all the docs .. just wondering if anyone else has managed to get it embedded in concrete5 before ?

thanks adec

Re: external.php ..in concrete5 ?

hmm getting closer by using one of Pavians old hacks from 2006 :

template is kinda showing up now .. just no images.. step closer tho.. and i realise the risks associated with that hack smile

Re: external.php ..in concrete5 ?

That file is ment to be included from your main dir
from one of your main pages so that is why you are most likely having problems.

So if your site is shmengle.com then the file should be included in your page shmengle.com/mypage.php

mypage being the page we are including external into.

To code or not to code that is the question?
